Tooru combines edge hardware, a cloud recognition engine, and a payments layer. Each is modular — we integrate with what you already have wherever possible.
High-resolution ANPR cameras with integrated IR illuminators, weatherproofed to IP67. Installed at entry and exit lanes. Connects over ethernet or 4G LTE. Works independently if cloud is unreachable.
INSTALLED BY TOORUCustom-trained computer vision model running on our cloud infrastructure. Reads plates in under 300ms. Handles all US state formats, all Australian state formats (NSW, VIC, QLD, WA, SA, TAS, ACT, NT), and all Canadian provincial formats — plus partial plates, dirty plates, and angled captures.
TOORU PROPRIETARYBuilt on Stripe with multi-currency support. We run Stripe US for USD, Stripe AU for AUD, and Stripe CA for CAD — each configured for local compliance. Member cards are tokenized and never stored on Tooru servers. Operators receive a daily settlement report in their local currency.
STRIPE-POWEREDWe connect to your existing barrier system via a relay controller. Compatible with CAME, FAAC, BFT, Parking BOXX, and most major gate brands. No gate replacement required in 95% of installs.
RETROFIT-READYA web-based portal showing live occupancy, session history, revenue, and member data. Exportable reports, remote gate control, and an alert system for anomalies. No app install required.
WEB-BASEDAll plate data is hashed with SHA-256 before storage. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit. We are CCPA compliant and follow GDPR principles for all member data. Annual third-party security audits.

A small DIN-rail device that connects to your existing gate cabinet. Receives open/close signals from the Tooru cloud and triggers your gate motor. Ships pre-wired with a universal harness. Clips into your gate cabinet in under 30 minutes — no electrician required.

Choose your setup — camera only or with gate controller. Pay upfront. We configure your hardware to your Tooru account before it leaves our warehouse. Your operator dashboard is created the moment your order is confirmed.
Everything arrives in one box — ANPR camera, PoE injector, relay controller, mounting bracket, cables, screws, and a printed quick-start guide. The Raspberry Pi controller ships pre-flashed with your account credentials already loaded. Nothing to configure.
Use the included bracket to mount the camera to your ceiling or wall, pointing at the entry or exit lane. Ideal height is 2.5–4 metres. The bracket fits standard ceiling tiles and concrete — all fixings are included. Scan the QR code in the guide to watch our 3-minute video walkthrough.
Run the ethernet cable from the camera to the controller box. Plug the controller into any power outlet. The PoE injector in the box powers the camera through the same cable — no separate power run needed. Wait 60 seconds for the controller to boot and connect to the Tooru cloud.
Scan the QR code on the controller box with your phone. This links the device to your Tooru operator account in seconds. Your dashboard activates immediately — you can see live camera feeds, configure your parking rates, and start accepting member registrations right away.
Drive a registered car past the camera to test recognition. Check your dashboard — you'll see the plate read, the member matched, and the session logged in real time. Share your location link with drivers and you're open for business. Our support team is one message away if anything needs adjusting.

License plate numbers are immediately hashed using SHA-256 before being written to our database. We store the hash, not the plate. Even if our database were compromised, no readable plates would be exposed.
We will never sell, rent, or share member data — plate numbers, location history, or payment information — with any third party for any reason. This is written into our Terms of Service and our operator agreements.
Any member can request complete data deletion at any time. We process deletion requests within 30 days. Plate hashes, session history, and payment tokens are all removed. Operators are notified of any deletions that affect their records.
Camera captures are processed locally at the edge and only the plate string (immediately hashed) is sent to the cloud. Raw images are not stored or transmitted to our servers. The camera sees; it does not remember.
